Memento Mori explores the most universal of subject matters: death, and brings together both historical and contemporary artworks which ask the viewer to contemplate their own mortality. NIGO® opened NOWHERE on the back streets of Harujuku in 1993, and from Monday the 1st April 2013 are celebrating 20 years of BAPE®.
They have produced a special collaboration with 20 artists – which includes James Lavelle; this collaboration consists of 20 individual APE HEADS designed by 20 international artists. They will be launching limited edition Canvas and T-shirts at the T-SITE Garden Gallery TSUTAYA located in Daikanyama, Tokyo from 4/27(Sat) for 3 days only. Afterwards they will be releasing their 20th anniversary products at BAPE® stores worldwide including BAPE® store London.
Spotify have teamed up with IE and James Lavelle to launch new musical web tool, MixShape.
To commemorate the launch, the MixShape team have announced a competition, to find the UK’s best MixShape, which will be judged by Lavelle.
The competition will run for one month across Internet Explorer’s Facebook and Twitter pages. The chosen winner will be posted on the Unkle Facebook page and will receive a Windows 8 tablet, an Xbox 360, a Windows Phone HTC 8X, a year’s subscription to Spotify and a framed copy of their MixShape signed by James Lavelle.
Said James Lavelle on his involvment in the project: “I was asked to compile playlists for the project. I’ve been given four categories – work, romance, exercise and party.
